Remember in Prayer
Our students, teachers, & staff as they go back to school/college.
We declare the words of Jeremiah for each one……
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
We pray 2023 – 2024 is a wonderful, safe, & fun year for all. We pray that students and adults can let their light shine for Christ. May God bless you.
Can You Help?
Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®, the largest humanitarian aid project of Buckner International, provides new shoes and socks to orphans and children in the United States and throughout the world. When you donate new shoes through Buckner, they will be received by one of the world’s most vulnerable children. While Buckner Shoes serves children all over the world, 20% of our shoes stay in the United States, offering hope to children in communities just like yours.
Buckner has distributed more than 4 million pairs of new shoes and socks to children in 83 countries.
New shoes put children on a path to:
HEALTH: protecting against disease and infection.
EDUCATION: lowering barriers to school attendance.
HOPE: demonstrate worth and God’s love to orphans and vulnerable children.
OPPORTUNITY: Shoes connect families to critical services, programs and mentoring at the Buckner Family Hope Center around community. Family Hope Center staff help families make plans for transformation and walk alongside them as their lives are transformed.
Why new shoes?
New shoes last longer, and as a gift to a child with few possessions, they communicate volumes about his or her inherent worth. Simply put, we think the children we serve are worth it.
We will be collecting hew shoes
through Wed. August 23rd
Next week there will be a container in the foyer of the MAC & fellowship hall.
*We will take all new children’s shoes however they say they always need larger sizes for both boys and girls. When in doubt, we recommend buying Boys 1-5 and Girls 4-5.
