I. His death was God’s plan

God’s plan was motivated by three things:

1. The sinfulness of man
   (Romans 3:23)
2. God’s love
   (Romans 5:8)
3. God’s justice
   (Romans 6:23)

II.  His death is the heart of Christianity

1. Sacrifice
   (1 Peter 3:18)
   (Hebrews 10:12)
   (1 Peter 1:18-20)
2. Substitute
   (1 Peter 3:18)

III. His death brings us to God
(1 Peter 3:18)
(Luke 23:42-43)
